Basketball great Scottie Pippen has partnered with Airbnb for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The two-time Olympic gold medallist and six-time NBA champion has listed his Chicago crib on Airbnb for the duration of the Tokyo Olympics.
“In honor of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, I’m inviting basketball fans to my Chicago home to relive one of my career highlights – competing at the Olympic Games Barcelona 1992,” Pippen exclaimed in a statement on Airbnb’s website. “I’m excited for you to cheer on the next generation of Olympians from my home court!”
Those lucky enough to book a night at Pippen’s crib will get a virtual greeting check-in from the Bulls champ. They’ll then have full access to the lavish two-bedroom home in Chicagoland that has several baller features, including an indoor theatre room where you can watch the games, along with a massive outdoor swimming pool that also has an outdoor television where you can watch highlights of Pippen’s career.
As you’d expect, there’s an indoor basketball court where you can shoot a few hoops and an arcade room full of classic 90s video games. The kitchen comes with a fully stocked fridge and pantry with Pippen’s favorite healthy foods, while guests will also have access to Pippen’s private sauna.
For those interested in memorabilia, Pippen has exclusive Olympic Games mementos stashed around the house, including items from Team USA’s 2020 Medal Stand Collection.
There will be three one-night stays up for grabs this August. Four guests will be able to take part in this experience on August 2, August 4, and August 6 for $92 per night, a reference to the 1992 USA Men’s Olympic Basketball Team Pippen was a part of that took out the gold.
Booking opens at 1 pm EDT on Thursday, July 22 for three stays on August 2, August 4, and August 6.
