RESORTS WORLD’S ‘GLOW’ IS PROPERTY-WIDE MULTIMEDIA EXPERIENCE: Resorts World, the Strip’s newest integrated resort, is unveiling, GLOW, a one-of-a-kind video content and multimedia experience, which will bring the property’s technologically advanced architecture – including one of the largest exterior LED building displays in the United States – to life. GLOW runs daily every hour on the hour from noon–1 a.m. The creative content, designed and produced by Moment Factory, a creative international studio specializing in multimedia entertainment and experiences, and Digital Kitchen, whose Emmy-winning storytelling and design captivates audiences, includes 10 show capsules and five interstitial visuals displayed across Resorts World’s distinctive LED surfaces, ranging from the 100,000-square-foot West Tower display to the 50-foot diameter interior globe. The animated visual tapestry explores a variety of themes. The experiences transport guests to extraordinary destinations, including a bioluminescent ocean, a synthwave cityscape, a feline-led psychedelic trip into space, a surrealist dance stage and a shimmering emerald jungle, among others. The 10 show capsules are displayed simultaneously across the Resorts World property on multimedia features along the West Tower exterior, East Tower and Zouk Nightclub facades, as well as the 50-foot globe, which is located within The District, the resort’s retail, dining and entertainment promenade. Additionally, five interstitial capsules were created specifically for the interior globe with rich ambient visuals that bring the sphere to life. GLOW’s multimedia content creates stories that work individually across each of the five canvases, but when viewed from a far reveal an interconnected narrative.

QUICK-CHANGE ARTIST LÈA KYLE JOINS ‘AGT LIVE’ AT LUXOR: Last week, Season 16 illusionist and finalist Lèa Kyle joined the “America’s Got Talent Las Vegas LIVE,” ensemble in the entertainment spectacular at the Luxor.  Kyle, who earned a coveted Golden Buzzer and global recognition for her quick-change costumes on the hit TV talent show, brings her lightning speed illusions to the Luxor Theater as the newest addition to the variety show. In addition to dazzling millions of viewers on the worldwide successful competition franchise, her impressive resume includes recognition as the 2019 French Champion of Magic, the 2021 Vice-European Champion of Magic, and the prestigious Mandrake d’Or in 2021, an award honoring some of the world’s greatest magicians. With stand-up comedian Preacher Lawson hosting, Kyle joins former AGT winners, finalists, runner-ups and fan favorites including singers Kodi Lee and Jimmie Herrod, magician Dustin Tavella, mentalism duo The Clairvoyants, knife-throwing duo Deadly Games, danger act Duo Transcend, shadow performance group The Silhouettes, and high-tech neon and LED dance group Light Balance. Performances are Wednesday-Friday and Sunday at 7 p.m., and Saturday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets start at $49.

CHEAP TRICK WILL DEBUT ROCKIN’ RESIDENCY AT THE STRAT: Legendary rock band Cheap Trick will start their residency at The STRAT with four shows Feb. 25-26 and March 4-5 at 9 p.m. Tickets will start at $75. Having their own undeniable rock ‘n’ roll and pop sound, Cheap Trick continues to sell out shows with a string of classic hits including “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police,” “Surrender,” and worldwide No. 1 hit song, “The Flame.” Founded in 1974, Cheap Trick includes legendary original band members Robin Zander, vocalist and guitarist, Rick Nielsen on lead guitar, and Petersson. Daxx Nielsen joined the band on drums in 2010. Each show will pay tribute to monumental performances by Cheap Trick, including Live at Budokan, the band’s legendary live album recorded in Tokyo. The STRAT Theater has a capacity for up to 900 guests, including a party pit directly in front of the stage. Cheap Trick is the second rock residency at The STRAT, joining Sammy Hagar & Friends, which debuted in October.

COMEDIAN HASAN MINHAJ WILL HEADLINE AT THE COSMOPOLITAN: Comedian and host Hasan Minhaj will headline The Chelsea stage at The Cosmopolitan on Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. as part of “The King’s Jester Tour.”  Known for his hot takes on the modern cultural and political landscape, Minhaj hosted and co-created the weekly Netflix comedy show “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj.” His unique perspectives and comedic voice quickly received high praise, earning a 2019 Peabody Award, a 2019 Primetime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Motion Design” and recognition for a 2020 Television Academy Honor. His new, one-man show “The King’s Jester” marks the comedian’s return to his storytelling roots following the global success of his 2018 Peabody Award-winning Netflix comedy special “Homecoming King.”

PRISCILLA PRESLEY TO TAKE THE STAGE AT SOUTH POINT: Priscilla Presley will take the stage at South Point inside the Showroom for three nights, April 8, 9 and10 at 7:30 p.m. Fans will enjoy an intimate evening with Pricilla sharing personal stories, never-before-seen videos and a live question and answer session. Tickets start at $55. In 1979, Vernon Presley appointed Priscilla to succeed him as a co-executor of the Presley Estate. She has since brought the Presley Estate from a burgeoning entity into a phenomenally successful organization consisting of the famous Graceland Mansion, a worldwide licensing program, merchandising, music publishing, and television and video projects. In keeping with the integrity of the original Colonial Revival architecture of Graceland and Elvis’ individual style, Presley actively oversaw the design elements for The Guest House at Graceland, a new hotel which opened in Memphis in 2016. The property marked the largest hotel project in Memphis in nearly 100 years and has helped infuse additional economic prosperity in the city as well as offer a new cultural experience for its visitors. Presley has numerous acting credits of her own. She portrayed Jenna Wade on of the nighttime soap “Dallas” from 1983-1988, which was seen by more than 300 million viewers worldwide every week. Presley then displayed her considerable comedic talents in the box office smash “The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!,” reprised her role in “The Naked Gun 2½” and “The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult.” Other on-screen credits include “Breakfast with Einstein,” “Haley Wagner Star,” “Melrose Place,” “Touched by an Angel,” and “Spin City.”

RICK MICHEL SINGS SINATRA’S MUSIC AT IAC: Rick Michel will present his “Sinatra Forever” show focusing totally on the music of Frank Sinatra at the Italian American Club (IAC) on East Sahara Ave. on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $65, which includes a buffet dinner served from 6:30 to 7 p.m., call 702-457-3866 for reservations. Michel will share and interpret “Ol’ Blue Eyes” standards with a 12-piece big band orchestra including some musicians who backed Sinatra. Michel has been called “the closest sound to Sinatra we have ever heard” by “Variety.” He’s performed and headlined in Las Vegas since 1981, been a Master Impressionist for more than 40 years, and been touring his “Sinatra Forever” show around the country as well as internationally with performances in Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico and Chile just to name a few.

THE BARBERSHOP HOSTS LAUNCH OF RODUCER MEZCAL BY SWIZZ BEATZ: The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails at The Cosmopolitan will host a launch party open to the public announcing a partnership between American GrammyPhoto David J Crewe Award winning rapper and music producer Swizz Beatz, craft spirit The Producer Mezcal, and 12on12 Records, from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5. Swizz Beatz, rapper and producer behind hits such as “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” “Ring the Alarm,” and “Roman’s Revenge,” will be signing vinyls from 12on12 Records from 7 to 8 p.m. before New Masters featuring Reyon Harrold take the stage for the first of two jazz sets. In between the two jazz sets, Beatz will present his new collaboration with The Producer Mezcal and 12on12 Records. During the party, The Barbershop bar will be open to public to sample and experience cocktails made with The Producer Mezcal. The Barbershop, which is a fully operational barbershop, boasts a speakeasy-style lounge with a fully stocked bar and stage with live music every night.

LAS VEGAS HOSTS TRULY HARD SELTZER NHL FAN FAIR™: Las Vegas will be hosting the 2022 Truly Hard Seltzer NHL Fan Fair™ – a four-day, 300,000-square-foot, family-friendly hockey fan festival at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall Feb. 3-6 as part of the 2022 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend. Tickets are available at NHL.com/FanFair. The all-teams fan festival will offer interactive hockey games; special appearances by NHL alumni; the seventh annual NHL Mascot Showdown™ presented by Upper Deck featuring 29 NHL Mascots™, including local favorite Chance™; NHL memorabilia and trophy displays including the iconic Stanley Cup®; and dozens of other dynamic activities, all included with the price of admission. NASCAR HAULER PARADE WILL RETURN MARCH 3: The NASCAR Hauler Parade will be returning to Las Vegas. Fans will be able to see their favorite drivers’ haulers make their way up the Las Vegas Strip beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway kicks off the spring 2022 NASCAR Weekend, March 4-6. The parade is a favorite among racing fans and will begin in front of the Luxor. Approximately 40 brightly colored, 18-wheeled NASCAR Cup Series haulers will receive a police escort as they drive north on the Strip before making their way onto Interstate 15 at Sahara Avenue and head for the 1.5-mile superspeedway. All trucks will stage earlier in the day at the South Point. LVMS’s spring 2022 NASCAR Weekend begins with the Victoria’s Voice 200 Presented by Westgate Resorts NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, March 4. The Alsco Uniforms 300 NASCAR Xfinity race will be Saturday, March 5 and the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube will run on Sunday, March 6. There also will be practice and qualifying for all three series this year. All children 12 and under get in free on Friday and Saturday with a ticketed adult and can attend the Pennzoil 400 alongside a ticketed adult for just $10 on Sunday.

CARLOS SANTANA RETURNS TO HOUSE OF BLUES: Guitar great Carlos Santana and his residency “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live: Presented by SiriusXM” returned this week to the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. His 2022 dates which have just been added include Jan. 26, 28-30, Feb. 2, 4-6, and May 18, 20-22, 25, 27-29. Performances are at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $99.50.

STRIP MEGA RESORTS HONOR YEAR OF THE TIGER: The Cosmopolitan will be ushering in the year of the tiger this Chinese New Year with an exclusive traditional lion and dragon dance at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5. It will start at the Las Vegas Blvd. entrance on the first floor of The Boulevard Tower. Throughout the performance, dancers will pause on several locations throughout the precession to partake in the lucky lettuce-eating ceremony. There will be culturally inspired menus courtesy of José Andrés’ China Poblano and the resort’s original Cantonese concept Red Plate.  Resorts World will feature eye-catching decorations, fun photo opportunities, specialty cocktails, seasonal menu items and entertainment throughout the resort. On Tuesday, Feb. 1, the Famous Foods Street Eats stage will kick off the Lunar New Year celebration with special performances including lion blessings, martial arts, Chinese singers and folk dancers and an over-the-top cultural fashion show. The stage will host daily performances from 6 to 7:30 p.m. from Jan. 28 through Feb. 4. At the center of the resort’s 70,000-square-foot dining and shopping destination, The District, the 50-foot LED Globe will feature Lunar New Year themed animations of larger-than-life blossoming money trees with branches that grow gold coins and lucky red envelopes. The resort will host an extravagant dragon and lion dance on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. beginning in the South Porte Cochere, moving through the property with blessings at Genting Palace and the Crockfords High Limit Lounge, ending at The Plaza on Las Vegas Blvd.

PALACE STATION AND RED ROCK RING IN LUNAR NEW YEAR: Two local casinos Palace Station and Red Rock will commemorate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Tiger with celebratory lion dances. Bringing good fortune and prosperity, the traditional dance will begin with a blessing and roam throughout the casino floor at both properties. The lion dance will begin at the North Valet at Palace Station on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. and at Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill at Red Rock on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m.

RAMPART CASINO PARTAKES IN LUNAR CELEBRATIONS: Chinese New Year will be felt throughout the Rampart Casino in Summerlin property beginning Feb. 1 with fun décor and a special 9 p.m. traditional lion dance performance throughout the casino, dining specials at Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles, giveaway, and casino promotions to celebrate the Year of the Tiger set to bring strength, power and prosperity to 2022.

MOB MUSEUM HOSTS NEVADA’S BLACK LEGAL TRAILBLAZERS: In recognition of Black History Month, The Mob Museum, will host “Leaders In Law: Celebrating Nevada’s Black Legal Trailblazers” on Tuesday, Feb. 1 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Charles Kellar became the first black person to pass the Nevada Bar exam in 1960, paving the way for transformative progress in the state’s legal field. This panel discussion will feature individuals who have held historic positions of power in Nevada’s legal arena. The event will be free for attendees who RSVP online and a livestream of the presentation will also be available on the Museum’s website.

VEGAS HAS BECOME THE ‘GO TO’ SOLUTION: Las Vegas is becoming like the Energizer Bunny™ in the respect…it’s always ready. Recently, Las Vegas got the announcement the Super Bowl will be held here in 2024 because New Orleans, the originally planned host city, had a conflict that year. The game will be played on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium. Now the 2022 Grammy Awards Ceremony has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The 64th edition of the annual ceremony, which was initially scheduled to be held indoors at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, was postponed. It will be broadcast live on CBS and Trevor Noah hosting.

HAWAIIAN VISITOR WINS $1.1 MILLION+ SLOT JACKPOT AT THE FREMONT: A lucky guest from Hawaii kicked off the new year by hitting a $1.1 million plus jackpot at Boyd Gaming’s Fremont Hotel and Casino downtown playing IGT’s Wheel of Fortune® slots on Jan. 21. The player, who was staying at the company’s neighboring California Hotel, was playing on a Wheel of Fortune® Super Times Pay 2x 3x 4x 5x slot machine. After playing for about 10 minutes and playing a $5 spin, the winner scored a jackpot totaling $1,100,986.

CELEB VIP SIGHTINGS

 Miss Nevada USA Kataluna Enriquez and Miss Michigan USA Taylor Hale recently caught a performance of “Magic Mike Live” at the Sahara. Enriquez made history becoming the first openly transgender woman to compete in the Miss USA pageant. The two ladies joined the cast for photos after the show. Paris Hilton filmed “Paris In Love” Bachelorette Party at Area15. She touted the venue’s “indoor Burning Man vibes” in an n Instagram video. The group kicked off the party with drinks at Oddwood Bar followed by immersive experiences such as Haley’s Comet, “Wink World: Portals into the Infinite” and Museum Fiasco.
