USC to allow fans back at indoor sporting events at limited capacity

After two weeks without fans allowed at indoor sporting events, USC will open the Galen Center back up to fans in a limited capacity starting with Sunday’s women’s basketball game against UCLA.

USC had limited attendance the past two weeks to friends and family members of student-athletes and coaches to align with the university’s decision to begin spring semester remotely in the wake of the latest COVID-19 surge. But with in-person classes beginning on Monday, USC will allow 50% capacity until further notice.

The 50% capacity will allow all current season-ticket holders and single-ticket holders to attend upcoming events, though no additional tickets will be sold for the next three men’s basketball home games (Monday vs. Arizona State, Jan. 27 vs. Stanford and Jan. 29 vs. Cal).

The student section at men’s basketball games will be divided into lower and upper levels, with students seated in pairs to create physical distancing.
