St. Valentine's Day Is One of My Very Favorite Themes
The problem with Valentine's Day, if you don't plan ahead it will sneak up on you! Since it is on the 14th of the month, each and every February, it is nice to have your student work and your decorations up BEFORE February so you can hit the ground running. If you are a new teacher, I recommend focusing on Valentine's Day and Friendship to start with, unless your team or school have other themes. These two themes can be blended into the first two weeks, then you can use the last two weeks for Presidents, Dental Health and Read Across America {Sometimes still called Dr. Seuss Day} which is March 2nd.
