Introduction
Located about 100 minutes drive away from the Tullamarine international airport in Melbourne, and within the Mornington Peninsula area of Australia, the Serenity Overlooking Rye Airbnb is a spacious open planned home, with a modern-day feel that has distant ocean views and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable holiday stay. The Serenity Overlooking Rye Airbnb truly feels like a home away from home, and we left wishing to return again someday.
Ambience
Ambience at Serenity Overlooking Rye is beautiful and serene. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood, offering fantastic views of the surroundings from the balcony, including sunrise, sunset, moonrise, day skies, and night skies. A calm and tranquil getaway, the well-appointed living rooms and common spaces, both outdoor and indoor, are great for lounging with family or friends. I especially love the shell-shaped outdoor lounge chairs on the balcony, which are so relaxing.
Room
Rooms at Serenity Overlooking Rye were decently spacious and comfortable. The beds were large, and while the mattresses were too soft for my liking, we still managed to get good sleep. Wardrobes are large with sufficient clothing hangers, and the bathrooms and toilets were clean and well-stocked with fresh towels and simple toiletries. The washing machine and dryer worked well, and we managed to complete several rounds of laundry (we used our own laundry liquid). Noticeably, there is a lack of a study area, though the living rooms or dining area works just as well.
Food
Food at Serenity Overlooking Rye can be prepared using the well-equipped kitchen, which includes cooking essentials and condiments. We managed to put together a splendid meal using the fresh ingredients and produce of the area, yum yum. Wanted to try using the outdoor barbecue grill, but inclement weather put a halt on that plan.
Service
Service at Serenity Overlooking Rye is excellent, thanks to superhosts Jaclyn and Louise. Interactions were prompt and helpful, with clear instructions on house usage. They even shared useful tips and points of interest in the surrounding area. We arrived to find the home clean and well-organised, and strove to leave it in as pristine a condition as we received it. Thoughtful essentials made the stay more comfortable.
Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Serenity Overlooking Rye are suitable for families with young children, with board games and netflix on the smart television. The house also serves as a great jumping off point to explore Mornington Peninsula in general, with the beaches of Rye just 10 minutes drive away, and other attractions well within reasonable driving reach (such as wineries, which are within less than 1.5 hours drive away). However, the steep incline driveway and staircase to the house (as well as stairs within the house) would make it challenging for the mobility-impaired I wouldn't recommend them to stay here). Otherwise, we had an excellent stay, and would return again where possible.
