Winter has officially arrived! It’s that time of year again and while most Canadians are still working from home, there is some time left during the day after a regular work shift. And let’s not forget the weekend. So why not make the most of your time off ?
Here are a few indoor activities to enjoy this winter.
Create a reading nook
While we are still in an ongoing pandemic, people are spending more time at home. Whether you read books or digital material, creating a cozy and comfortable place for reading could become a space that you will love to be in.
Indoor camping with the kids
S’mores anyone? Indoor camping will not only make you feel like a kid again, but it’s the perfect setting for your kids. To do so, move the sofa and coffee table to clear a space in the living room and set up a tent (as if you were outside.) Don’t forget to bring the snacks and a few games to make the day enjoyable for everyone.
Redecorate a room
Redecorating a room is always fun. It’s also a great way to start fresh! Try rearranging furniture, hanging picture frames in different places or researching some new decor ideas online.
Treat yourself to a spa day at home
Get your bubble bath going and make it an extra luxurious day! Light a candle, play some music and relax with a glass of wine while watching your favourite show on your iPad.
Bake with the kids
Making chocolate chip cookies is always fun, especially when your kids are included in the activity. Bake warm, chewy cookies or make other recipes like pies and freshly baked bread.
While the chilly winter season can certainly feel like a bummer, there’s always something fun to do with a few ideas and a little spark of creativity.
