Cardi B Amasses an A-Plus Real Estate Portfolio: Let’s Peek Inside

Cardi B has garnered plenty of praise since she burst onto the music scene five years ago.

The “queen of hip-hop,” as Halle Berry has called her, has won a Grammy, hit No. 1 with her debut album, and also topped the charts with an array of hit singles.

When she’s not winning awards and racking up streams on Spotify, she’s been busy collecting real estate.

We wanted to take a peek at the places the rapper extraordinaire likes to call home.

Luckily for us, Cardi B, 29, who got her start on social media, has splashed her new buys across her Instagram account.

Recently, rumors were sparked that the rapper (birth name Belcalis Almánzar), who was born and raised in New York, had picked up a place in her hometown.

In early November, she posed in front of a double staircase in a newly built home.

“Now having a home in NY, I can have get togethers with my family all the time! I have accomplished so many things yet I still feel far from all the goals I want to accomplish. This is one dream I can cross off…..Let me know if ya’ll want a mini tour!”

We’d love her to guide us on a tour, but we’d need to make an exit in New Jersey.

The home—while close to where she grew up in Washington Heights—is actually across the bridge from New York City, in Tenafly, NJ.

Purchased for $5.85 million in September, the brand-new build offers nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a movie theater, swimming pool, and tennis court. The “WAP” rapper is pouring an additional $1 million into improvements, according to the New York Post.

It isn’t the first time the chart-topper has called Jersey home. She apparently lived in a $3,000-a-month, Edgewater, NJ, rental in 2017, because, as she told the Fader, she would be paying twice as much for a similar-sized New York apartment.

It’s no secret that the successful, Louboutin-clad musician is known for keeping her eye on the bottom line. 

“I have a passion for music, I love music. But I also have a passion for money and paying my bills,” she told the Fader.

How’s this for a happy holiday? Cardi B and her rapper husband, Offset, bought each other an Atlanta-area home in 2019.

Cardi’s home had been on the market for $5,795,000 before her hubby gifted it to her right before Christmas a couple of years ago.

Post-purchase, the proud homeowners offered up multiple mansion tours on Instagram. 

The former reality TV star credited their real estate agent, Brandi Hunter-Lewis of Compass, with successfully ending a two-year search for the perfect property.

As for why the house hunt took so long? Supposedly, the couple couldn’t agree on a house that they both loved.

There’s a lot to love, though, in the estate they wound up with. Built in 2006, the five-bedroom home they chose measures 22,000 square feet, on a sprawling 5.84 acres.

As we reported at the time, its highlights include marble floors, high ceilings, a double-island kitchen, game room, bar, wine cellar, and a shooting range.  

The gifting of homes seems to be a family tradition. Cardi reportedly presented her mom with a home in New Jersey in 2018. The “dream home” boasts eight bedrooms, a finished basement, and a home theater. It cost the good daughter $1.5 million.

Speaking of gifts, here’s a real birthday present: Offset surprised his wife with an investment property in the Dominican Republic. Apparently, it’s exactly what she wanted!

Cardi posted a video of the gorgeous mansion on Instagram, adding: “For a hot minute now I’ve been telling Set that I really want to invest in short term home rental properties in the DR and other Caribbean countries.” 

Wish granted! The “Hustlers” star, whose dad is Dominican, is now the proud owner of a hilltop mansion in the Caribbean country. 

Her four-story, six-bedroom abode comes with an open floor plan, a pool, and killer views. Its interior, on 8,000 square feet, includes polished-concrete floors, walls of windows, and sleek finishes. The 4-acre spread also comes with a gym, indoor pool, and separate studio.

The property has already a proven to be a big winner with the vacation rental crowd, going for $893 a night on Airbnb.

The real estate agent Hunter-Lewis also assisted with this purchase. She posted on her Instagram account:

The hip-hop artist also posted a short video of the sweet retreat.
